Registration is opening soon for our First 2026 Girlfriends Weekend in Savannah
Life is busy. You're juggling:
You have ZERO bandwidth, you're over-scheduled and running on fumes-so your brain defaults to "no". The couch becomes your sanctuary-the place that asks nothing of you and it becomes "the couch trap."
Your brain chooses the easiest, safest option
when you're tired:
It's not choice or laziness-it's biology with throw pillows.
Loneliness and too much time on the couch makes you withdraw further. Withdrawal increases loneliness and the couch feel even safer.
It's a self-reinforcing cycle.
FriendScripts gives you:
It's the support your brain needs to override the Default-to NO- Response and get off the couch
-one tiny step at a time.

Science-backed scripts, micro-actions, and simple frameworks to help you build meaningful friendships-even with a busy life.

A weekends and events designed fast to break the Loneliness Loop, reset your nervous system, and fast track lasting connection.

Bring the Couch to Connection message to your company, conference, or community. I speak on the loneliness epidemic, building IRL connection in our modern world, and the health impact of disconnection.
I'm CB, and after years working in health and wellness, one trend became to impossible to ignore: post-COVID, more people are lonely and living in a default to "no" environment.
Not because they don't want connection, but because staying home became easier...and admitting you're lonely still carries stigma. Most people won't say it out loud, but the data doesn't lie.
Higher stress, More inflammation. Worse sleep. Higher cardiovascular and dementia risk. Rising medical costs. All tied to loneliness.
Once you see it, you can't unsee it.
What I've learned is this: people aren't lonely because they lack people. They are lonely because their lives are structured with no natural openings for connections-especially when "no" is so much easier than "yes".
I created FriendScripts to change that. Not with big, overwhelming steps, but with simple, evidence-informed actions that help people shift from default "no" to intentional "yes".
If you've felt the hesitation, the shrinking circle, or the quiet. " i should go...but I can't" you're not alone. And you are not failing. You just need a new script-and one small step back toward connection.
